The results of our questionnaire show a survey of 20 people all answering 6 questions each. We can conclude lots of similarities and differences within.

To conclude, these results tell us that the majority of people will go to the cinema with their friends and partner. People are unlikely to go alone or with their parents/carer. We feel our film would appeal to teenage couples and friends so these results are promising.

The age group was no surprise but this could be down to us sending the survey to people in our college mostly along with family members. If we asked the general public the results would probably be more varied. We asked a lot of teenagers as this is the age when most people watch horrors.
How many times a month do you go to the cinema to watch horrors?

This answer was promising for our horror film as more people than we expected, watched horrors. Our survey said that 80% of people went to the cinema at least once a month to watch a horror film. We expected people to watch other genre of films more often as generally the horror genre isn't the most popular.

We expected more females to fill in this survey than males as females generally go to the cinema more often and therefore more likely to answer questions related to the cinema.

This result was surprising as we didn't think people would watch this many horrors at home. The results say that 2 out of 20 people watch 6 or more horrors a month at home which is a vast amount. Also none of the people answering the quesions don't watch horrors each month.

In accordance to the traditional hollywood quadrant for audience research, our target audience will be focused on the lower two quadrants (males and females 25 and under). Our survey backs up our inital idea for our target audience as the majority of people we asked to fill in our survey were students making our survey valid.

Most people from our survey said they are more likely to watch a film because of the cast involved this doesn't benefit us as we are not well known actors/actresses. Although this is the case the second highest figure was the trailer which plays into our hands as we believe our trailer will attract our target audience.
